Sorcha’s dance journey began in Wexford, where her passion for movement flourished at the Wexford School of Ballet and Performing Arts. Excelling in Ballet, Modern, and Tap, she later embraced contemporary dance, becoming a versatile artist dedicated to creation, performance, and teaching. 

Her choreography has graced prestigious stages in London, Dublin, and Disneyland Paris, as well as notable venues in Wexford, including the National Opera House. Sorcha collaborates with esteemed professionals and integrates her background in gymnastics and trampoline—where she competed nationally and internationally until the age of 15—into her dance practice. Her artistic influence spans various styles, reflecting her unwavering dedication to the art of dance. 

Sorcha’s professional journey commenced at Inchicore College of Further Education in Dublin in 2009, where she pursued ISTD Modern Theatre teacher training, RAD Ballet teacher training, Contemporary Dance, and Tap. Discovering her passion for contemporary dance, she joined the Dublin Youth Dance Company in 2010. Sorcha furthered her studies in London, earning a BA Hons in Contemporary Dance from Trinity Laban in 2011. Her time at Laban included performances for renowned choreographers like Richard Alston and Rosemary Butcher.  

Sorcha’s professional journey began at Inchicore College of Further Education in Dublin in 2009, where she pursued ISTD Modern Theatre and RAD Ballet teacher training, as well as studies in Contemporary Dance and Tap. Her passion for contemporary dance led her to join the Dublin Youth Dance Company in 2010. Sorcha furthered her education in London, earning a BA Hons in Contemporary Dance from Trinity Laban in 2011, where she performed for renowned choreographers such as Richard Alston and Rosemary Butcher. 

In 2018, she joined Wexford School of Ballet and Performing Arts, teaching and choreographing for over 100 students aged 5 to 18. In 2019, Sorcha completed her ISTD Contemporary training under Ross McKim, the former Artistic Director of the Rambert School of Ballet, and also trained briefly in the ISTD Tap syllabus with Samantha Murphy, owner of Slaneyside School of Dancing. 

From 2019 to 2022, Sorcha collaborated with Vivian Brodie Hayes on various projects, including films and music videos, and participated in the dance artist residency program at the Lir Academy, focusing on Lighting Design for Dance with Liz Roche. Her dedication to youth education is evident in her work as a choreographer for productions in Wexford, contributing her talents to the Wexford Pantomime Society and the musical productions of Loreto and St. Peter’s schools for the past 6 years. Additionally, she teaches workshops for primary schools and summer camps for children as young as 3. Most recently, Sorcha has started teaching contemporary dance at Karen Williams Dance in Dundrum Business Park.  

Her diverse background in contemporary dance and other styles enables her to offer a wide range of classes. Through her teaching, she inspires the next generation of dancers and nurtures a deep love for the arts. Sorcha's journey from Wexford to London, coupled with her professional training and collaborations, has shaped her into a passionate teacher and choreographer. Students benefit from her expertise in contemporary technique, lyrical movement, choreography across various styles, creative movement, improvisation, and acro. Her commitment to nurturing youth talent is reflected in her emphasis on collaboration, empowering students to develop their unique creative language and movement, fostering a dynamic and expressive learning environment.
